Korean/한국어: 두려움
I’ve had an interesting journey with fear since the start of this year. The first step is understanding, as fear thrives on ignorance. The situations or things I fear most are truly holograms manufactured by my mind, projected onto the giant screen that I’m pressed up against.1
I find that whenever I’m stuck, it helps to make an inventory.2 The higher it is on the list, the deeper the fear.

So, all in all, I would say that I’m doing pretty ok relative to where I was 15 years ago. “Ok” is the topic of my next mini-essay. Stay tuned. ✨
- And sometimes it even felt like I was wearing a VR headset. I dunno, it’s all a spectrum. Sometimes I get hardcore into this simulated reality I call my “life,” while other times I keep more of a distance (too much though, and I’m just totally off the grid). I’ve been on both extremes. Neither are great. ↩︎
- At some point, I may write an essay dedicated to Microsoft Excel. Like this post if you want to see this happen. You know you want it. 💊 ↩︎
